SPOON vol 4 published in 1999, is credited with starting the porno-chic fad in fashion. This provocative movement blended high fashion with raw, amateur, and explicit erotica aesthetics that inspired a movement.
SPOON Men vol 2, ROUGH was published in fall of 2001, features the artist, actor, filmmaker, and musician Vincent Gallo on its cover. Vincent Gallo’s 10-page edgy editorial was photographed by Terry Richardson. This issue has been seen for sale online for £159 ($250).
The series featured below was photographed by Julian Benjamin and styled by Marion Boucard. Marion was at the time Production Manager for SPOON and she will be the first artist, featured in the rebirth project of SPOON Magazine, featuring artists, editors, models, journalist…people who collaborated or knew of SPOON Magazine between 1997-2004.
